60 percent of employees say they’d feel motivated and more likely to recommend their organisation as a good place to work if their employer took action to support mental wellbeing

From the populous poll for Mind of 2060 adults in England and Wales in employment polled between 6 and 10 March 2013.

1 in 4 people in England experience a mental health problem every year. This has a huge cost to the nation. It is well documented that over 115 people will take their own lives in a given week. It is also known that in a given week 2000 people will be admitted to a mental hospital and 885,000 prescriptions will be issued for anti-depressants. Given these statistics, Mind in Enfield and Barnet is committed to promoting mental health and wellbeing in the work place.

Mind in Enfield and Barnet will work in partnership with companies as one effective way of raising mental health awareness and encouraging employees of companies to give regularly to Mind in Enfield and Barnet, or nominate the charity for a company donation. Charitable giving by your company can lead to benefits for your company as in promoting its corporate social responsibility programme.
