The Wellbeing Service aims to provide workshops and courses to help people’s mental wellbeing (eg Mindfulness for Self Compassion workshops) and provide routes to positively engage in society (eg Self Esteem and Effective Communication courses).

We will be running the following workshops and courses for the community. They are a mixture of face to face and online via zoom, and are available to adults over 18.

All courses and workshops are FREE, and funded by Barnet & Southgate College and the Barnet Wellbeing Service

WORKSHOPS (3 hr one off sessions, all online)

Anger Management. For people wanting to understand anger, and be and be introduced to tools to manage it.

Assertiveness. For people wanting to explore how to be more assertive especially through verbal communication.

Gratitude for Wellbeing. Learn about the science of happiness, and the power of gratitude. Includes an introduction to keeping a gratitude journal.

Mind Body & Soul. A chance to explore the power of sound, creative visualisation and mediation for positive mental health.

COURSES (10 weeks)

Anger Management. For people wanting to understand anger, and be introduced to tools to manage it.

Art Course. People of all levels learn how to develop skills and express themselves using art techniques.  

Art Course Intermediate. For people that have had some experience of art who want to explore new media and develop their own styles.

Body Care and Makeup. For people wanting to learn simple everyday practices for body care (inc washing, using scrubs and oils, and breathing techniques) and applying make up for a positive mind and body image.

Effective Communication. How to verbally communicate with confidence in different situations.

Gardening with Nature. To learn simple growing techniques and how these can be applied to students own growing conditions.

Mindfulness for Self Compassion. For people wanting to learn some mindfulness techniques and apply them to developing self compassion.

Mindfulness for Stress & Anxiety Reduction. For people wanting in-depth understanding of Mindfulness and how it can be used to manage stress and anxiety.

Personal Development. To help you achieve your full potential, and build confidence to manage life’s challenges.

Self Esteem. For people that would like to understand and develop skills of self esteem.

FREE and open to all adults over 18 who are residents of the boroughs of Enfield and Barnet. Funded by Barnet & Southgate College and the Barnet Wellbeing Service
