How can the support group help parents/carers?

Parents Support Groups run as 8-week online programmes offering a safe and confidential space for parents/carers to gain information and skills to support their young person and to receive peer support from other parents/carers in a similar position. The support combines clinical expertise from Brandon Centre and extensive experience and local links by Local Mind.

Who can join the Parents in Mind Support programme?

Referrals are open to all parents/carers from the London Borough of Enfield, Barnet, Haringey, Camden and Islington, whose children or young people between 11-16 are known and open to CAMHS with presenting issues such as low mood, anxiety and self-harm. The programme is open to parents of children and young people with autism and ADHD.

Unfortunately, this programme is not suitable for parents/carers of children/young people with a significant learning disability, complex mental health disorder, PTSD or eating disorders.

How can parents join the group?
