Volunteer Admin Support

Are you free for 10 to 15 hrs per week (days and times to suit) , have admin experience, with working knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel & Outlook.

You will be supporting the roll out of our online training program, advising colleagues of courses required, asking for certificates of completion, chasing up outstanding training via email. Updating an Excel spreadsheet.

Sanctuary (Crisis Café) Support Worker

The Sanctuary (Crisis Café) is a service for all residents experiencing emotional distress. The café runs during the evening on Monday to Fridays and during the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday. We provide initial support meetings both face to face and via the telephone, working with clients to resolve immediate distress, and explore coping mechanisms. We then co-produce support plans with clients and offer 121’s, counselling, peer support groups and workshops as well as a social place to be.  

The support worker will be experienced in working with people in distress or who have mental health issues, highly organised and have excellent people skills.

2 x Community Care Coordinators

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Community Care Coordinators to support some of our most vulnerable users of emergency services. These roles have been developed to further support our service users alongside our statutory partners at North Middlesex NHS Foundation Trust Emergency Department, to increase their wellbeing, confidence, social integration, and independence.

The successful candidates will be responsible for working with service users during periods of crisis and support them through their journey of recovery to ensure that they are receiving the support most beneficial to them. This will be achieved through a person-centred approach to ensure that the views of service users are central to the planned support they receive.

The roles will involve working in the community and with the wider team as well as our partner organisation North Middlesex NHS Foundation Trust Emergency Department to ensure that the community is kept up to date with the services that we are offering and the strong reputation of Mind in Haringey as a leading provider of mental health services in the borough is maintained.

This is a part-time position (26 hours per week), between the service hours of 9am-5pm (Monday-Friday)

Community Care Coordinators are based at 275 Fore Street, Edmonton, London, N9 0PD & North Middlesex Hospital.

2 X Crisis Outreach Workers

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced Crisis Outreach Workers to support Mind in Enfield and Barnet’s Family Hubs Service.

The purpose of the Outreach Worker is to work with adults during the perinatal period (pre birth up to 2 years after birth), including both parents and carers. You will work as part of MiEB perinatal family hub team to identify those at risk of crisis and ensure referral pathways are in place to facilitate rapid engagement

The successful candidates should have a minimum 2 years’ experience of working with people with mild, moderate and severe mental health issues. Experience of utilising de-escalation techniques, and supporting clients presenting in emotional distress

This is a part-time position, 22 hours per week covering the service between 9-5 Monday to Friday. There may be a need for crossover hours up until 6pm to facilitate joint working with our crisis café 

The role is based at the Family Hubs within Craig Park and Ponders End in Enfield. You will also be based at the  Enfield Mind office at 275 Fore Street, N9 0PD.
